What do you think are the most important things to be considered in the development of the emissions reduction plan?
Even though the Green Party in my eyes have the most forward way of thinking and have the best goals - which is why I voted for them, I don’t think the policies they used to convince me are being met. We have not put in rules or regulations with in commercial or private sectors to combat the global sustainability crisis
2. What new initiatives would you include in an emissions reduction plan for Aotearoa?
Tell us how you and your community will be impacted by the proposals in the Emissions Reduction Plan discussion document
Reduction commercial emissions, sustainable building regulation (seen as there are developments being put up everywhere currently), transport initiatives such as bike paths to encourage cyclists, walking etc, native regeneration, vegetation education, sustainability education, in season cooking education, potentially less tax on hospitality businesses who use local in season produce rather than imports, the list goes on
3. What do you see are the main opportunities and impacts of emissions reduction policies in Aotearoa?
