1. What do you think are the most important things to be considered in the development of the emissions reduction plan?
What do you think are the most important things to be considered in the development of the emissions reduction plan?
I believe the emissions reduction plan is comprehensive but needs to address our situation with more urgency
I would like to see the government target personal transport emissions by significantly increasing the annual cost of car registration fees for all vehicles based on the efficiency, engine size, particulate levels and age of vehicle
I would entirely endorse the banning of used car imports manufactured more than 5 years before entry into NZ
I think we need to stop being a dumping ground for older age vehicles, and should encourage the purchase of low cc sized motors by having low car registration fees for small sized engines and imposing much higher costs on anything greater than 2000 cc
There should be no offset for higher capacity vehicles
and engine efficiency should be the key criteria for car registration fees
There should be no exceptions to any cars that are so called people movers unless they have high efficiency
